Within the frame of the Civil Law portfolio, EJTN delivered its first face-to-face training course of the year on European Civil Procedure to participants from EUs 12 countries (BG; CZ; EE; EL; ES; HR; HU; LT; PL; PT; RO and SI). The two-day long activity took place in Brussels, Belgium from 10 until the 11 of February 2022.
The training course was organized in the hybrid format with participants being able to attend face to face as well as online.
Overall, 43 judges, prosecutors, judicial advisors and court staff increased their knowledge on the EUs jurisdiction, applicable law, EU instruments, recognition and enforcement of decisions as well as tools such as E-Justice portal.
In order to combine the theoretical approach with a more concrete one, workshop sessions were also organized in order to provide a widened knowledge on EU legislation and case-law and facilitate the exchange of best practices
The activity contributed greatly to the Civil Law portfolio’s objective to improve judicial cooperation in civil law matters and culture as well as the main aspects of EU law and EU available digital tools.
