The 2027 EJTN Catalogue of Training Activities is now available

Meeting

The 2027 EJTN Catalogue of Training Activities reflects EJTN’s commitment to making its training offer more accessible, flexible and digitally connected. In line with this general objective, the 2027 EJTN Catalogue of Training Activities places greater emphasis on the EJTN Online Training Catalogue as the primary gateway to judicial training opportunities and resources, while also being available as a concise printed publication structured around seven thematic priorities shaping EJTN’s training programme in 2027.

These priorities include:

  • Rule of Law and judicial independence, including for example:
  • The Judges@Europe Forum, promoting dialogue among judges on the practical application of Rule of Law principles
  • Enhanced training on the preliminary ruling procedure in cooperation with the CJEU and the European Commission’s Legal Service

  • Digital justice and Artificial Intelligence, including for example:
  • The 2027 EJTN AI Summit, focusing on AI literacy and the practical use of AI in judicial practice

  • Cross-border justice in Europe, including for example:
  • Judicial cooperation in criminal and civil matters, focusing on the practical application of EU instruments
  • Cross-border family and succession law, including Brussels Ia, Brussels II, Rome I and Rome II

  • Protecting fundamental rights, including for example:
  • Promoting equal access to justice through training on fundamental rights, procedural safeguards, and the protection of vulnerable groups, victims, and minorities
  • The EU Charter and the interplay between CJEU and ECtHR case law, strengthening the consistent protection of fundamental rights across European jurisdictions

  • Responding to emerging societal challenges, including for example:
  • Environmental, economic and financial crime, as well as migration and asylum law, misinformation and disinformation, and societal change and access to justice
  • The EJTN Legal Updates Series, helping justice practitioners understand and apply new EU legislative instruments through webinars delivered in national languages and tailored to national procedural contexts

Expanded EJTN resources and learning materials

Alongside its extensive training programme, EJTN continues to expand its range of learning resources in 2027, offering easy access to digital recordings, learning videos, platforms, publications, podcasts, practical tools, and specialised training materials.

A key development is the introduction of EJTN Blueprints and echo seminars: structured, adaptable training resources developed through collective expertise and made available to EJTN Member institutions. The aim is to support the delivery of high-quality training on EU law topics at national level, strengthen knowledge-sharing, and facilitate the integration of key European priorities into national judicial training curricula. These resources will be accessible on the EJTN Intranet.

The 2027 Catalogue would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of EJTN Members, Associate Members, Observers, Activity Coordinators, and National Contact Points. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Partners and to the European Commission for its continued and valued support, which enables EJTN to advance shared training priorities and strengthen judicial cooperation across Europe.

We encourage all members of the European judiciary to explore the 2027 Catalogue and take advantage of the diverse training opportunities available throughout the coming year.
