Open call for experts in training methodology for a new Training of Trainers programme

Meeting

The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) is launching a call for experts in training methodology to support the design and development of a new Training of Trainers programme for judicial experts in Europe.

As the leading network of judicial training institutions in Europe, bringing together Members, Associate Members, and Observers, EJTN plays a central role in supporting high-quality judicial training. Through its activities, EJTN promotes methodological standards, facilitates the exchange of expertise, and contributes to the professional development of judges, prosecutors, court staff, and judicial trainers across Europe.

To support high-quality judicial training across Europe, EJTN relies on a broad pool of judicial experts. As training methods increasingly evolve towards more interactive and participant-centred approaches, EJTN is developing a dedicated Training of Trainers programme to strengthen experts’ pedagogical, digital, and methodological skills and enhance training delivery.

To support the development of this programme, EJTN is seeking two experts in training methodology. The selected experts will contribute to the design of a programme that will include:

  • A competency framework outlining the methodological skills that judicial experts should develop and master
  • An interactive e-learning programme at beginner and intermediate levels, focusing on the principles of adult learning
  • Additional resources to support experts’ autonomous learning processes
  • An assessment scheme to validate the acquisition of skills and competencies

The work is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Applicants are invited to send their application directly to [email protected] by 23 September 2026 (end of the day). Interviews will be organised at the beginning of October 2026.

More information about the project description, the experts’ tasks and responsibilities, and the application process can be found here.
