Judicial Academy of Latvia
The Judicial Academy of Latvia plans, organises and implements training for judges and court staff, for prosecutors and prosecution office employees, who provide legal support in the execution of prosecutors’ duties, as well as investigators on issues essential for the effective administration of justice.
To ensure the provision of training, ten training programmes have been developed to comprehensively address the needs of the target audiences. These programmes are based on the long-term development plans of the professions, the requirements set out in policy planning documents, as well as the expressed needs of the target groups themselves. The programmes include professional development for both initial training and continuous training, and serve as a foundation for the development of the annual training plan.
