The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) Linguistics portfolio is glad to announce the start of a new run of Online Conversation Classes in 2022.
After last year’s successful and highly attended Online Conversation Classes, EJTN relaunches a brand-new series this Spring.
The courses are offered to judges and prosecutors who already possess knowledge of a second language but wish to enlarge and advance their skills in legal language.
These one-hour classes will start in the week of 7th of March 2022 and run through 15th of April 2022. Over six weekly webinars, expert instructors engage participants in practical exercises and activities designed to improve their language skills. The predominant focus of the webinars centres on improving listening and speaking skills in the participants’ selected languages.
Languages offered are English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
Activities envisioned for the course webinars include authentic language usage via:
- Discussions focusing on legal cases and exchange of experiences among participants
- Practice of legal terminology in context
- Apply existing 2nd language skills in a professional context
