EJTN institutions database to launch later this year

Meeting

To mark the 25th anniversary of the European Judicial Training Network, a Comparative Study on Judicial Training Institution is currently under preparation. This upcoming study, to be launched in October this year, will be made available to EJTN Members, Associate Members and Observers.

On the initiative of the EJTN Working Group on Judicial Training Methods (JTM), the foundation for this project was laid at the 2025 General Assembly, which took place in Gdansk, Poland, on 11-12 June. During the event, the JTM Working Group presented the Database of EJTN Institutions.

The database will be a live space of the Network, with a dedicated section for each EJTN institution. It can be accessed through the EJTN Intranet.

The first topics which will be published within the database include the results of the Questionnaire on Judicial Training Institutions, which was circulated in November 2024. A total of 54 EJTN institutions replied, detailing how they manage:

  • Initial training
  • Continuous training
  • Training of trainers
  • E-learning and digital tools for training purposes

All EJTN Members, Associate Members and Observers are invited to suggest updates on their own section by contacting the EJTN Secretariat. The first round of review is open until 30 June 2025.

The Comparative Study in its entirety will be launched during the 25th Anniversary celebration in October 2025.
