On 28 April 2023, EJTN took part in the online conference organised by the European Commission on “Judicial training: the right skills to embrace the digitalisation of justice”.
EJTN was represented by Secretary General Ingrid Derveaux, Silviya Dimitrova, Deputy Director of the Bulgarian National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Raf Van Ransbeeck, Director of the Belgian Judicial Training Institute, and Dariusz Sawurski-Radetz, from the Polish National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution (KSSIP).
The speakers discussed the ongoing digitalisation of Europe’s justice systems and the skills justice professionals need to adapt to this major transformation. EJTN delegates also elaborated on their efforts to step up their training offer in the area of digital technologies.
The digitisation of EJTN’s training offer remains one of the top priorities of the Network. Some of the solutions deployed to date include permanent virtual classrooms, regular webinars on EU law, online language courses and hybrid events.
EJTN Members, Associate Members, Observers and Partners will further discuss how to strengthen their cooperation in justice digitalisation during the upcoming EJTN General Assembly, which will take place on 15-16 June 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden.
