Rule of Law Training for Judges: Independent Judges as a Cornerstone of the Rule of Law

Description

Judges will be able to assess the rule of law challenges related to the Judiciary and integrate the crucial role of the judge in upholding the rule of law in practice working on case scenarios.

The one-and-a-half face-to-face training consists of providing the elements and principles of the rule of law as well as the European jurisprudence and standards. The topics will focus on judicial independence and its grey zones, judicial autonomy, accountability and quality of justice.

Practitioners will facilitate the exchange of best practices with high-level experts by discussing practical applications in cases inspired by real facts during the workshops.
