Project Manager
A vacancy has arisen for a Project Manager at the headquarters of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) in Brussels.
About EJTN
The European Judicial Training Network is an international not-for-profit association gathering training institutions for the judiciary of all European Union Member States. Its aim is to promote training and exchange programmes with a genuine European dimension for the members of the European judiciary.
EJTN affirms itself as a major platform where its Members cooperate on the analysis and identification of the training needs of the judiciaries of the Member States, the exchange and dissemination of experience in the field of judicial training and the design of programmes and methods for collaborative training.
Additionally, EJTN serves as an arena for the coordination of Members’ programmes and activities in matters relating to European law and those which concern initiatives of the EU and the dissemination of knowledge about the legal systems of EU Member States.
EJTN works closely with the European Commission and with nearly 40 EU national judicial bodies, which are Members and Observers of EJTN.
Your role
As Project Manager, your role is to manage the delivery of specific training programs belonging to the EJTN training portfolio while ensuring our offering and service correspond to the needs of our members and experts.
Your responsibilities
• Manage a specific EJTN portfolio
• Online conversation classes and lunchtime webinars: A to Z coordination incl. planning, content, registrations, communication with participants, support to moderator and experts during live session, reporting, developments of the portfolio in line with new technologies
• Catalogue of Members: Manage scholarship fund applications
• EJTN Annual training calendar: organise the call for hosting activities on the online platform and lead the production of on-line and printed annual calendar
• THEMIS Competition: Manage the process from A to Z from the launch of competition to registration of participants, selection of jury members, event organisation, post-competition follow-up, and coordination of the publication of best competition papers
• Monitor and manage project planning and budget, escalate and solve obstacles and produce reporting
• Develop digitalisation initiatives in specific other portfolios upon needs
• Manage the digital database of experts as well as the experts contracts to ensure flowless administration and communication
• Represent EJTN externally upon projects and provide assistance in interinstitutional contacts with partners
Your profile
• University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent)
• A minimum of 1 year relevant experience in project management, events organisation or learning coordination
• Previous experience with the organisation of one-line events and with the use of digital tools are strong assets
• Experience with Project Management methodologies is appreciated
• Strong planning and organisation skills are a must as well as a service-oriented attitude and ability to develop sustainable relationships with all parties involved
• Analytical mindset with a good dose of creativity and a pragmatic approach
• Affinity with a regulated environment (e.g. public, governmental organisations, EU-bodies) is a plus
• Fluent in English and French
• You are able to start no later than September

Vacancy specification
The position is intended to be a full-time one, initial fixed-term contract under Belgian law, with the possibility of prolongation and becoming permanent.
